The 1st Lt. Louis Allen Scholarship & Community Foundation

In Memory Of Louis Allen

Foundation Mission:

The parents and siblings of 1st Lt. Louis Allen, who was killed while on active duty in Iraq on June 8, 2005, have established this Foundation. The purpose of the Foundation is to develop a scholarship program at Chester High School for students interested in pursuing a higher education in the field of science or teaching, as well as to provide donations to organizations that support families or individuals in need within the community.

Our family was overwhelmed by the generosity and support provided by our local community during our most difficult time. The worst experience of our lives has taught us how important it is to provide support to those in need, and we are honored to do so in loving memory of our son and brother Louis Allen.

We are now operational as a non-profit organization pending final tax-exempt status under paragraph 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.
